“My goal and mission was to help pets in need find loving homes. When I started the rescue in 2022 I had no idea what it would entail, slowly over time I was able to build a team of individuals who also have the same goal. I take pride in knowing that we as a Team can all work together to find those loving homes for pets. I find myself very fortunate to have a rescue that is strictly foster based so that none of our pets are in kennels and they all receive loving, nurturing environments. It was always a dream to help save animals and although we are small I can honestly say we are making a difference in the lives of pets.”

“I am humbled and blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing team of women who all share the same goal in assisting dogs in finding their furever homes. It is such a labor of love and we each come with our own strengths, complimenting each other and making Almost Home the incredible group it is today. There is such a sense of joy when a dog and a family find each other. Knowing that we helped to make that perfect match and created such a special relationship is an honor I don’t take lightly. There is THE most amazing sense of fulfillment when you know you helped to create the unconditional loving bond between a pup and their family. It is one of the greatest gifts.”

“After recently having to put my own rescue dog to sleep due to a major seizure/stroke, I made the decision to become a foster. My pup was a rescue and had been fostered before I adopted her, so this was for me, a way to heal my heartbreak. Having never been a foster before, I was not sure if it would be what is referred to as a “foster failure”, however, that has not happened- YET! My role is to give them security, a safe place to decompress, learn to trust, gain some puppy skills and lots of love so they are ready to meet their forever families. I am very glad to be a part of Almost Home.”
